Biga on the Banks is a landmark San Antonio fine dining restaurant opened in 2000 by Chef Bruce Auden on the Riverwalk, evolving from his original Restaurant Biga founded in 1991. Chef Auden holds eight James Beard Award nominations for Best Chef Southwest — the most of any San Antonio chef — and within six months of opening, Gourmet magazine ranked Biga the fifth best restaurant in Texas, with a daily-changing menu featuring signature dishes like Axis Venison and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
