Chez Fonfon

Chez Fonfon is a classic French bistro in Birmingham's Five Points South neighborhood, opened in 2000 by James Beard Award-winning chef Frank Stitt and his wife Pardis. Chef Stitt, who trained at Chez Panisse and in the South of France, received the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: Southeast in 2001, and Chez Fonfon has been named the best restaurant in Alabama by LoveFood. The menu features authentic French bistro staples including steak tartare, moules et frites, escargots, and house-made charcuterie, with a courtyard ideal for pétanque.
