The Cotton Bottom Inn has been a Holladay institution since 1966, founded by Helen Chlepas with help from the Coors brewery at what locals call Knudsen's Corner on 6200 South. Famous for its legendary garlic cheeseburger — a recipe developed by Helen herself and still prepared by the same cook who has made it for over two decades — the bar was acquired in 2020 by the Bar X group, who expanded the space while faithfully preserving the beloved burger tradition.
