Cozy Corner BBQ was founded in Memphis in 1977 by Raymond and Desiree Robinson as a family restaurant in the North Memphis neighborhood, now run by four generations of the Robinson family. The restaurant is celebrated for its Cornish game hen — a Memphis barbecue rarity — alongside ribs, smoked bologna sandwiches, and barbecue spaghetti, all smoked on a Chicago-style indirect-heat smoker. Desiree Robinson made history in 2020 as the first Black woman inducted into the American Royal's Barbecue Hall of Fame, and Southern Living has named Cozy Corner one of the South's 20 best BBQ joints.
