Opened in 2016 by chef Scott Crawford in Raleigh's historic Oakwood neighborhood, Crawford and Son is a product-driven American restaurant celebrated for its balance of classical and modern technique. Crawford has earned five James Beard Foundation semifinalist nominations for Best Chef: Southeast and a 2025 semifinalist nod for Outstanding Restaurateur, the first for any Raleigh-area chef. The restaurant was named Restaurant of the Year by both the News and Observer and Indy Week.
