Opened in 2019 by husband-and-wife team Thomas and Mariah Pisha-Duffly in Portland's Hollywood neighborhood, Gado Gado serves Indonesian-inspired cuisine rooted in Thomas's family heritage spanning Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. The restaurant has earned multiple James Beard Award nominations, including a 2023 finalist nod for Best Chef: Northwest and Pacific, and is celebrated for its signature Rijsttafel-inspired Rice Table feast.
