Giordano's is Chicago's celebrated deep dish pizza chain, founded in 1974 by Efren and Joseph Boglio who based their stuffed pizza on a traditional Italian Easter pie recipe from their mother in Lucca, Tuscany. The restaurant's signature stuffed pizza features a double crust encasing layers of cheese and toppings beneath a tomato sauce cap, requiring up to 45 minutes to bake. Named Chicago's Best Pizza by NBC, CBS Chicago, the New York Times, and Chicago Magazine, Giordano's has grown to over 65 locations and is considered one of Chicago's pizza triumvirate alongside Pizzeria Uno and Gino's East.
