Han Oak is a James Beard Award-recognized Korean restaurant in Portland's Kerns neighborhood, opened in 2017 by chef Peter Cho and partner Sun Young Park. Named 2017 Restaurant of the Year by both The Oregonian and Portland Monthly, and spotlighted on Netflix's Ugly Delicious, the restaurant serves a prix-fixe tasting menu of banchan, bulgogi, and seasonal Korean dishes in a converted garage with communal tables and an outdoor lawn. Chef Cho was named a Food & Wine Best New Chef in 2017 and has twice been a James Beard finalist for Best Chef: Northwest & Pacific.
