Khâluna is a Laotian-American restaurant opened in Minneapolis in 2022 by James Beard Award semifinalist Chef Ann Ahmed, whose family immigrated from Laos as refugees in 1984. The restaurant earned a spot on Eater's list of the best 15 new restaurants in the U.S. for 2022 and has received multiple James Beard nominations, including Outstanding Chef in 2025. Standout dishes include the boundary-pushing Bucatini Talay — a tom yum shrimp sauce over pasta — and the vibrant Rainbow Rice, served in a gorgeous converted space on Lyndale Avenue.
