Lucille's is a Houston Museum District restaurant opened in 2012 by chef-owner Chris Williams and his brother Ben, honoring their great-grandmother Lucille B. Smith — a pioneering Texas culinary entrepreneur and Prairie View A&M University food sciences educator. Chef Williams, a multiple James Beard Award finalist for Outstanding Restaurateur, serves refined Southern cuisine including signature chili biscuits, shrimp and grits, and braised oxtail. The restaurant also operates the Lucille's 1913 nonprofit, which has provided hundreds of thousands of meals to Houstonians in need.
