Mala Tang has been serving authentic Sichuan hot pot and street food in Arlington, Virginia's Virginia Square neighborhood since 2011, founded by Sichuan Master Chef Liu Chaosheng — who previously operated Hong Kong Palace — alongside restaurant industry partners. The menu centers on customizable hot pots, a self-serve sauce bar, dry pot dishes prepared with Chef Liu's signature ma la spice blend, and award-winning spicy pork wontons.
