Nielsen's Frozen Custard

Nielsen's Frozen Custard, Utah's original frozen custard brand, was founded in 1981 by Steve and Debbie Nielsen with its first location at Crossroads Plaza in downtown Salt Lake City. Built on a patented double-custard freezing machine that churns custard to just 10 percent air content, Nielsen's is best known for its Concrete — an extraordinarily thick signature shake with mix-ins — and remains a multigenerational family business with grandchildren now working alongside the founders.
