Salt & Straw was founded in Portland, Oregon in 2011 by cousins Kim and Tyler Malek, who started with a single pushcart in the Alberta Arts District after Kim cashed out her retirement savings to fund the venture. Now with over 40 locations across the United States, the brand is celebrated for its farm-to-cone approach, creative seasonal flavors, and partnerships with local Oregon farmers and artisans.
