Shipley Do-Nuts

Founded in 1936 in Houston, Texas, by Lawrence Shipley Sr. during the Great Depression, Shipley Do-Nuts built its reputation on handcrafted, yeast-raised doughnuts made with a glaze formulated to hold up in the Texas heat. The family-operated chain expanded across the Southern United States and now operates approximately 387 franchised locations, with ownership transferred from the founding family to Peak Rock Capital in 2021.
