Cristina Martinez's Italian Market taqueria is built around a single-minded devotion to Guerrero-style lamb barbacoa steamed in maguey leaves and served with handmade tortillas pressed to order. The menu is intentionally short, the room small and unhurried, and the masa is ground fresh each morning from dried corn. A side of black beans and rice completes the essential order. Order the barbacoa taco plate and the consomme served alongside.
