Southern Junction is a Buffalo, New York restaurant founded by chef-owner Ryan Fernandez, who was born in Kerala, India and raised near Dallas, Texas, blending Texas-style BBQ with South Indian culinary traditions — a concept he calls 'Texish' barbecue. The restaurant earned a 2024 James Beard Award finalist designation and was ranked the sixth-best Texas BBQ outside of Texas by Texas Monthly.
