Taco John's traces its roots to 1968, when John Turner launched a taco trailer called Taco House in Cheyenne, Wyoming during Cheyenne Frontier Days. Businessmen Harold Holmes and Jim Woodson purchased the franchise rights in 1969, renamed it Taco John's in Turner's honor, and grew it into a chain now operating approximately 370 restaurants across 23 states, known for its West-Mex style and signature Potato Olรฉs.
