
The Taco Stand
The Taco Stand was founded in La Jolla, San Diego, in November 2013 by Aram Baloyan and Julian Hakim Baloyan through their restaurant group Shลwa Hospitality, inspired by the taco stands of their native Tijuana and the Baja California Peninsula. The chain has grown to more than 15 locations across the U.S. and is known for handmade tortillas, charcoal-grilled carne asada, and al pastor cooked on a traditional vertical trompo spit.
