Town Topic

Town Topic is a Kansas City institution founded in 1937 by Claude Sparks, who opened a small diner on Broadway selling burgers for five cents each. The brand grew to multiple locations across the metro area, and the Broadway location at 2021 Broadway operates 24 hours a day, cooking burgers the original way with grilled onions and a steamed bun. Town Topic has been recognized by Travel and Leisure as one of America's Best Diners and appears in the book Hamburger America's top 150 burgers list.
