TrueBurger was opened in 2010 by Bay Area sous chefs Greg Eng and Jason Low, who had previously worked at upscale restaurants including Bay Wolf and Jardinière before opening this neighborhood burger joint in Oakland. The restaurant serves hand-formed all-natural beef burgers, fresh-spun milkshakes, and crispy fries, and now operates at two Oakland locations.
