Weera Thai opened its first Las Vegas location in 2010 on Sahara Avenue, founded by Peter Thonguthaisiri and his father Suweera, whose family had operated a Thai restaurant in Chiang Mai since 1976. Specializing in Northeastern Thai (Isaan) cuisine, the restaurant is particularly known for its larb ped — ground boneless duck with spices, herbs, lime juice, and chili — and has grown to four Las Vegas locations.
