Blue Star Donuts launched in Portland in December 2012, founded by chef Micah Camden and Katie Poppe with a mission to craft gourmet brioche-style doughnuts using cage-free eggs, European-style butter, and inventive flavors like raspberry rosemary and Cointreau crème brûlée. The Portland shop has earned national recognition including a spot on USA Today's 10Best Donut Shops list for 2025 and a feature on the Travel Channel's The Zimmern List.
