Bob's Donut & Pastry Shop is a San Francisco landmark established in 1953 on Polk Street in Nob Hill, recognized as an official SF Legacy Business and one of the last independent donut shops in the city still making donuts entirely from scratch using traditional techniques. Famous for its apple fritters, giant donuts, and the Bob's Donut Challenge — finish a giant donut in three minutes to earn a T-shirt — the shop has served late-night revelers and morning regulars for over seven decades.
