Bufalina opened in Austin in 2013 as the city's pioneering Neapolitan pizza and natural wine destination, cooking pizzas in a Stefano Ferrara wood-burning oven at over 900 degrees for a properly charred, authentically wet-centered result. In 2024, Infatuation named Bufalina one of the best pizza places in America, Austin Monthly awarded it Best Pizza in Austin, and the restaurant was named a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Wine and Other Beverages Program. The restaurant also offers acclaimed handmade pastas and a curated list of over 500 organic and biodynamic wines.
