Cassell's Hamburgers
Cassell's Hamburgers is a Los Angeles institution originally opened in 1948 by Alvin Cassell on Wilshire Boulevard, built on a philosophy of daily-ground fresh beef, housemade mayonnaise, and a signature crossfire broiler that simultaneously broils and fries each patty. The restaurant was revived in 2014 inside the historic 1926 Hotel Normandie in Koreatown, where the original Hobart meat grinder, patty press, and crossfire broiler are still used today. Cassell's enduring commitment to craft-driven burger quality has made it one of the city's most celebrated old-school hamburger destinations.
