Dave's Hot Chicken

Dave's Hot Chicken is a fast-casual chain founded in 2017 in East Hollywood, Los Angeles, by chef Dave Kopushyan (formerly of The French Laundry) and partners Arman Oganesyan, Tommy Rubenyan, and Gary Rubenyan, who launched the concept with just $900. The brand's Nashville-style hot chicken tenders and sliders, served at seven heat levels, propelled rapid nationwide expansion including San Diego. The chain attracted celebrity investors and was acquired by Roark Capital in 2025 for approximately $1 billion.
