Kyoto Japanese Restaurant opened in Salt Lake City in 1984, founded by Sam and Yoshiko Tada — Sam being a native of Kyoto, Japan. The restaurant's beloved menu anchors around ebi tempura, agedashi tofu, and teriyaki, with a sushi bar added in 2001.
