Lick Honest Ice Creams was founded in Austin in the fall of 2011 by Anthony Sobotik and Chad Palmatier, who moved from New York to create artisan ice cream using locally sourced Texas ingredients and no artificial colors, flavors, or high fructose corn syrup. Every batch is hand-churned using milk and cream from a Central Texas family dairy, with seasonal flavors celebrating the ingredients and culture of the Lone Star State. Lick has grown from a single Austin scoop shop to multiple locations across Austin and San Antonio.
