Soft Swerve Ice Cream was founded in 2016 by childhood friends Jason Liu and Michael Tsang, who grew up in Manhattan's Chinatown and opened their first shop on Allen St. to bring Asian-inspired soft serve flavors to the neighborhood. The shop quickly became a New York City dessert destination known for flavors such as Ube, Matcha, Black Sesame, Vietnamese Coffee, and Thai Tea, and has since expanded to multiple locations including Flushing and Long Island City.
