Sushi Nakazawa
Sushi Nakazawa opened on August 21, 2013 in Manhattan's West Village at 23 Commerce Street, founded by chef Daisuke Nakazawa — a former apprentice of Jiro Ono featured in the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi — in partnership with restaurateur Alessandro Borgognone. The restaurant quickly earned four stars from the New York Times, making Borgognone the youngest restaurateur to receive that honor. Its 20-course omakase experience, centered on Edomae-style sushi, has made it one of the most celebrated sushi destinations in the country.
