Sweets & Meats BBQ Restaurant - Avondale

Sweets & Meats BBQ was founded in 2014 by Kristen Bailey and Anton Gaffney as a certified woman-owned business, starting as a weekend tent operation before launching a food truck in March 2016 and opening a brick-and-mortar location in 2017. In 2019, the company won first-place Entrée at Taste of Cincinnati and was recognized as Ohio Small Business of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The Avondale dine-in restaurant opened in September 2024 inside Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center's Herald Building.
