The Balboa

The Balboa is a cocktail bar and burger destination at 1863 5th Ave in San Diego's Bankers Hill neighborhood, originally opened around 2014 to 2015 by former line cook Tom Logsdon. The bar became known as one of San Diego's top burger spots, serving fresh never-frozen burgers and hand-cut Kennebec fries alongside a classic cocktail program focused on the golden age of mixology. The business changed ownership in 2021 and continues operating in San Diego.
