The Waves Taco Club

The Waves Taco Club is a family-owned taco restaurant that opened in 2022 at 916 Fifth Ave in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter, housed in an 1800s-era building that previously held the China Too Restaurant. Owner Omar Tal sources seafood directly from local San Diego fishermen, and the restaurant is known for its battered shrimp tacos, grilled mahi mahi tacos, and Surf and Turf Burrito, with walls decorated by local artists.
