
Blue Oak BBQ
Blue Oak BBQ was founded in July 2012 by New Orleans natives Philip Moseley and Ronnie Evans, who began serving barbecue at local music venues including Chickie Wah Wah before opening their own restaurant at 900 N. Carrollton Avenue in the Lakeview neighborhood. The restaurant won the 2017 Hogs for the Cause competition and serves a menu drawing from Carolina, Texas, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Memphis traditions, featuring signature brisket, smoked chicken wings, and specialty sandwiches alongside a full craft beer bar.
