Dave's Hot Chicken

Dave's Hot Chicken was born in 2017 as a $900 parking lot pop-up in East Hollywood by chef Dave Kopushyan, a French Laundry-trained cook, and partners Arman Oganesyan, Tommy Rubenyan, and Gary Rubenyan. The Los Angeles-born chain specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken tenders and sliders served at seven customizable heat levels. Since launching in its home city, the brand has grown to hundreds of locations globally and was acquired by Roark Capital in 2025 at a reported $1 billion valuation.
