Howlin' Ray's Hot Chicken - Chinatown
Howlin' Ray's Chinatown location is the original brick-and-mortar home of LA's most iconic Nashville hot chicken restaurant, opened in April 2016 inside Far East Plaza by chef Johnny Ray Zone after 12 years working under culinary legends including Thomas Keller and Gordon Ramsay. The restaurant sparked a citywide hot chicken movement and was named the No. 1 fried chicken spot in the U.S. and Canada by the Yelp Elite Squad, known for its five-level heat scale and the signature Hot Chicken Sando. The famously long lines — once stretching to three-hour waits — became a defining part of its legend.
