El Tepeyac Cafe
El Tepeyac Café is a Boyle Heights institution dating to 1942, famous throughout East Los Angeles for its enormous burritos including the five-pound Manuel's Special Burrito and the Hollenbeck Burrito, originally created for officers from the nearby LAPD Hollenbeck Division. A living piece of LA culinary history, this family-run café on North Evergreen Avenue was recognized during Hillary Clinton's Save America's Treasures campaign and remains one of the city's most iconic Mexican restaurants.
