John's of Bleecker Street is one of New York City's oldest pizzerias, with roots dating to 1915 and its current Greenwich Village home at 278 Bleecker Street established in the early 1930s around a coal-fired brick oven still in use today. The restaurant serves whole pies only — never slices — baked at 850°F in the Neapolitan tomato pie tradition, and was ranked among the ten best pizzerias in the United States by TripAdvisor in 2015.
