Madame Vo is a modern Vietnamese restaurant in New York City's East Village, opened in January 2017 by husband-and-wife team Chef Jimmy Ly and Yen Vo, specializing in homestyle pho, spring rolls, and Vietnamese comfort cooking. The restaurant earned widespread acclaim and its sister concept, Madame Vo BBQ, became the first Vietnamese restaurant reviewed by a New York Times critic when Pete Wells named it a Critic's Pick in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jimmy and Yen kept Madame Vo open and delivered hundreds of free meals to local hospitals and healthcare workers.
