Marufuku Ramen, which opened in San Francisco's Japantown in 2017, is widely regarded as one of the Bay Area's premier ramen destinations, celebrated for its authentic Hakata-style tonkotsu broth made by boiling pork bones for hours to achieve a rich, milky umami depth. The restaurant's ultra-thin artisanal noodles and carefully crafted chashu pork have earned it recognition on The Infatuation's Best Ramen in San Francisco list and a TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Award. Marufuku has since expanded to nearly a dozen locations across California, Texas, and Nevada.
