Stella Jean's Ice Cream was founded in 2018 by chef Gan Suebsarakham and Steven Torres, who also operate the adjacent Pop Pie Co. in San Diego's University Heights neighborhood. The shop crafts globally inspired, small-batch ice cream using 16% butterfat dairy from Scott Brothers Farm, with signature flavors including Ube and Pandesal and vegan options like Mango Sticky Rice. Stella Jean's has been named one of USA Today's Top 10 Ice Cream Parlors in America and has since expanded to multiple San Diego-area locations.
